SCFFX Indie Shorts Dali Style Thursday Jan 15, 2026 Location: The Salvador Dalí Museum 1 Dali Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Step into the surreal as the Sunshine City Film Festival presents SCFFX Indie Shorts Dali Style, an evening of boundary-pushing short films that explore the unexpected, the abstract, and the extraordinary. Hosted at the world-renowned Salvador Dalí Museum, this special screening night celebrates the spirit of artistic experimentation and the limitless imagination that Dalí himself embodied. Fun fact: Dalí wasn’t just a master painter — he also collaborated with Walt Disney on a short film titled Destino and worked with Alfred Hitchcock on dream sequences that changed the way cinema visualized the subconscious. This year we highlight 2 Made in the Bay Series Shorts from the episodic series The Ethereal. Directed by Award Winning Director/Producer Blake Emory and International Award Winning Director/ Producer Debbie Garrett and her award winning series "Simi." Both presentations are a mix of sci-fi, thought-provoking, and surreal shorts that blur the lines between art and reality, science and dream, logic and illusion — all reflecting themes of surrealism, the quantum universe, and creative exploration.
