SCFF 2021 Selections

Who made the cut...
SCFF Strives to provide opportunity to up and coming filmmakers from around the Bay and Beyond... Check out some of this years selections for SCFF2020.

2021 Selections... Well at least a few.

Beyond the Wall” is a short film about an intrinsic link between present and past, a spiritual journey of the Artist through the pain of loneliness, an epitome of eternal Love. The film, convey the feelings and emotions of the principal character in the form of music and lyrics, through poetic symbols and surreal artistic images.
​The dance is also an allusion to the timelessness of love. (There is a Russian version of film as well. In this version Song lyrics and poetry are in Russian. And there is additional English version with Spanish subtitles).

When the whole nation accepts love between same-sex and validates their marriage, the KOKO movie takes the Human-Canine bonding to the next level. SAG-AFTRA Feature Film, KOKO is an unusual story of Randy and his solitary genuine friend... his canine (Koko).  First time it has featured a man and dog are going to tie the knot. Is it for Love or Money or Something else?

The Change Project is a 15 minute documentary & research project exploring cyberbullying among youth in the Cayman Islands. The documentary delves into the mental health impacts on teens, parents, teachers and families who have never spoken out about this topic before. The Change Project is more than a documentary, it's a campaign that will strive to make a difference in the community, encouraging people to take an online pledge to be mindful, kind & considerate when it comes to engaging online.

​Landing a small deal with a popular television network, Stormy Frost and her film making team must film a proof of concept episode in hopes to land a multi-milllion dollar tv series deal. Eager to land the deal; they venture out into rural Georgia, where unexplainable disappearances have occurred, from what locals believe to be a large sized animal. Camping in the area in hopes to capture, on camera, the truth of what is responsible, they soon realize they made one of the most horrific and deadly discoveries in American History.

                     My Fathers Fabulous Funeral 
​A quirky comedy about a dysfunctional family who struggle to give their oddball father a fitting funeral despite the difficulties presented by their obnoxious stepmother. Their father has had a long and fulfilled life. Being a depression era baby it was also characterized by him as one where never a penny was wasted - pretty much literally, since finding a quarter in the streets has been filling him with happiness time and again. His stinginess has led him to buy a two-for-one grave with his second wife, an egocentric woman with little tact. Having to think of her every time they visit their father’s grave is a bit too burdensome for them. Yet, how will they dissuade her from eventually sharing an eternal grave with their father?
