The film commission's business development program helps attract Studio Features like Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, independent features, Digital Projects, Web series and high profile Music Videos. St. Pete Clearwater is a blue-sky, sun-drenched getaway home to 35 miles of white sand beaches, including TripAdvisor’s No. 1 Beach in the U.S. in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Off the beach is St. Petersburg, named one of the Top 52 Places to Visit in 2014 by The New York Times---in large part because of its world-class art scene, which features the acclaimed Dalí Museum and Chihuly Collection.

Tyler has been the film commissioner for Film Tampa Bay since 2018. In this role, he oversees the organization that provides all film permitting, ordinance enforcement and marketing for both film and digital media projects scheduled in the region. His academic background is impressive and includes a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Entertainment from Savannah College of Art and Design; moreover, Tyler's experience in the film industry is deep including a 20 year career as a production manager and producer.
